As an one of the IFC presidents, this is a terrible move on SK's part. Can confirm that Phi Psi is returning as a colony this fall and then moves back into the house in 2 years. So to clarify SK gets the house for 1 year and then they'll go right back off campus. All the girls who they recruit when they have the house will probably become upset and dissatisfied with the organization when they move off campus again and will destroy their sisterhood. 'Many girls will probably disaffiliate. For the short term, congrats to sigma kappa. But in the long term it will surely hurt their growth on this campus. The house was offered to all the Off-Campus fraternities but non went for it because they understood it would only hurt their organizations long term.

IU closed its land vetting process awhile ago. No one, including skrappa will be getting a house built anytime soon. Lots of misinformed people.

I'm on The board, and IU has already agreed to secure land for sigma kappa, as of late November. The plan is to have a new house by the time phi psi lease is over. Sigma kappa will not be an unhoused chapter again. Nationals is in Carmel, and their contract with IU stated that they would get a house within 3 years...and it's already been 1. Sorry homiesss.

I'd hate to be GPhi, AGD, or AEPhi. I wouldn't trust them living near me... they've already done enough trouble!

In two years, SK will be ready to break ground on their house. Their housing people have been busy securing the Phi Psi house and moving forward with plans for their own house. Don't you worry your pretty little head IFC president (cough cough), it's all good. AGD and SK are in good hands without your big manly brain to think things out for them. ;-)
