bid day

Anyone know what happens if a pnm gets a bid but can't conetk bid night on time/at all because of sports/class/etc?

If you can't get off work for Bid Day this far in advance, Greek life isn't for you. You won't have the time. If you have class or a sport, you will pick up your bid when you can. But again, if you're in a sport, you may not have time for Greek life.

That's kind of harsh^^ There are multiple IU athletes that are in sororities.

If you can't go because of a sport, let your Rho gamma know so that she can give you your bid early/late!
If it's class- Bid night falls the week after syllabus week, so ask your professor the first week if you can leave a little early. It's so early in the semester that I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

The right chapter is going to be happy to have YOU, no matter your scheduling conflicts. Goodluck!

Harsh but true. Chapters look the other way when a girl misses because she's a cheerleader or an athlete, but truthfully, those women do nothing for the chapter other than PR and make grades. They miss tons of activities, aren't around much and don't know a ton of people in the chapter.

Be honest, if a girl can't get off work for bid day, she is going to have to ask off for all kinds of other events. Do you wan to have to deal with that all the time?
