not being able to go to bid day
by: Want to rushI have previously planned a trip that is a family party and am flying out of state and won't be here the weekend of Sep 29-Oct 1 which seems to have most of the bid nights for frats. Is it ok if I can't make this night or would I not get a bid if I don't go to bid night.

Dont tell fraternities this up front. You never want to talk about a bid before you are offered one. However, if you notice that a fraternity keeps on inviting you to events and they DO extend a bid to you before Sep 29-Oct 1, take the bid and tell the fraternity immediately that you wont be able to attend the official bid night do to previous circumstances.
If a fraternity does not offer you a bid before Sep29-Oct 1st, make sure you are on your phone for that weekend. If a brother texts you and calls you asking to appear at the chapter house, just say that you are away but you'll be at school the following week. You dont want to stiff a chapter by not responding to texts.
