question on frat rankings

Pledge Acacia. They're getting pretty decent pairs so far, if that's your main concern. But mostly you don't wanna wake up in two years and realize you have nothing in common with your brothers. Go with your gut.

What advice would you give to a freshman who was offered a bid from one of the "top" houses, but was leaning towards pledging Acacia because they genuinely like the former Phi Psi guys and the recolonization guys? The easy answer is "go with your gut and pledge Acacia", but will Acacia get good pairs within the immediate future or will it take them several years to overcome their campus ban? Just a hypothetical...
