rushing

Are you looked at any differently or passed over if you rush a fraternity as a sophomore... I was previously attending a smaller university before this because I had not a clue what I wanted to do with my life and I just recently transferred here and I was thinking it'd be fun to to join a fraternity. I know a few people in fraternities here but idk if that helps...... Let me know though and be honest I won't be heart broken
