gpa concern

I will be a sophomore this fall. My current GPA is a 2.4. What are my chances of getting a bid in a sorority house?

Depends on reasons for low GPA. If you have many extracirrculars. If it's just cause you were lazy best of luck.

Someone in my family has been dealing with cancer the past year and I had to take days off of school to go take care of him :(

I would definitely explain this, just be aware that despite your situation some houses aren't allowed to make exceptions

Pretty low/impossible. I think everyone requires at least a 2.5 to be considered for rush. Likewise you'll have to submit your grades at one point and you'll just get kicked out when they see them.
