Sigma kappa and lower and that's only if you're an amazing standout pnm.

Tip tier houses have taken juniors too but that's if the PNM already knows a lot of girls in the house, or really stands out

Why arent transfers taken as seriously as freshman?

because freshmen are there for 4 years while transfer students are there for 3 or less

This is so confusing
Some people are saying I will be fine and others are saying im basically screwed. This website is making even more nervous :(
I just know i want to be highly involved in a sorority, and i think i have a lot to offer.

Id really want to go Delta Gamma bc of my legacy conncection and i adore my sister lol

Relax,

it's true that as a transfer student you will be slightly disadvantaged since the recruitment process is meant for first-semester freshman.

If you're a strong candidate and you emphasize during rush that you will be here for a few years, your chances are still very good at getting a bid from DG or a similar house.

Best of luck.

thank you! that made me feel better! I will work it into the conversation somehow without it being awkward! I know with the Xo and Phi I have no chance but there are so many great houses at State, I just hope one takes a chance on me.

if you are going to be at State for longer than two years, then you need to let all of the houses know that during rush. It could make a difference.
