south neighborhood
by: pnmI am staying in south neighborhood this fall. How are those dorms? Is it close to a lot of stuff on campus, such as restaurants, sorority/frat houses, Spartan Stadium?

It is incredibly close to Spartan Stadium and Breslin, they are fairly nice dorms...Case Caf is really good! It's about a 10 minute walk from classes seeing as it's more the athletic neighborhood so there are a lot of training facilities and fields around it. But not too far, I was in Case last year and it wasn't a bad walk/bike ride to most classes. You're about a 20 minute walk from Grand River and most of the sorority/frat houses.

Tbh, south neighborhood kind of sucks for greek life. Most sororities are the north end of MAC. If you were to get a bid to XO or AXO that is a hike! Hopefully one of the sisters will be able to pick you up. Also, get a bus pass the 33 bus will be great for getting you to the Union and then it'll only be like a 10 min walk from there!
But other than that, it's the best neighborhood for game days.
The dorms are all pretty much the same. You'll have suite style. and Case caf is the main one and it's pretty good. Wilson has a dank late night menu & sometimes Holden's caf pulls through with some goodies from Homestyle or Pangea.
