rushing top houses
by: RusheeIf I'm trying to join a house like Pike or Sigma Chi in the fall, what is the best course of action? Do I reach out to a guy I know and ask to come by and meet some brothers or do I wait until their more public events? The whole rush process confuses me

Top houses such as pike, sigma chi and sae have many rushees. Literally like 150 and each will have a pledge class 20-30ish so honestly its tough getting a bid.
reach out to a brother you know and try to go to the house for events before rush to give you the best chance of meeting as many brothers as possible.
There won't be time for public events because rush is early. You gotta go out and make it happen because there are going to be legacies and other rushees that already know a few brothers and they're your competition.
During rush don't be weird lol. Talk about sports, mutual friends, or whatever. Just be genuine and you'll get a bid

I chuckle seeing some of the pledges Sigma Chi has bid lately. kids that weren't even close to getting a bid at my house
