spring rush

How is it that sororities have to do spring rush? Over 1200 girls signed up for fall recruitment, with that many girls who rushed and got cut how did some houses still not find enough girls? Just wondering

The house and the girls rushing both have to pick each other. If one or both side cuts the other then it is possible for houses to not get enough members. Also the sorority can lose members if girls drop or transfer schools and then they would have to do spring recruitment.

Is it because too many pnms dropped out or did the houses cut too many?

Still, these houses had how many girls to pick from? Should've been able to get enough members
