I think it's funny how every one makes a big deal about the rankings when realistically every sorority girl is friends with girls in different sororities and they all get along. Yes, some girls are still stuck in highschool and are mean to the "lower" houses but overall every one gets along

But girls in top tier houses tend to only hang out with girls in other top tier houses.

yes, but it's b/c the panel does a bad job of getting all the sororities to combine. I'm sure if a "top" house was to social with lower houses, the majority wouldn't have an issue except the stuck-up girls
