ranking upon ranking upon ranking

by: Well

According this site no guy or girl should waste their time rushing if they can't get into one of the top tier houses. Those rankings have been overly debated on this site with many personal attacks along the way. So if you aren't a hot girl or cute guy from a handful of high schools, don't bother rushing because your life won't be complete if you can't belong to the very best of the best. If that sounds stupid, it is because it is absurd. I encourage anyone who wants to be a part of greek life at state to keep an open mind, don't believe anything that you read on this site, and join the house where you feel accepted and comfortable regardless of rankings. If you end up in a "top tier" house then obviously it's the right fit for you. There will be girls who don't get in to any house and guys who drop out after rushing so good luck and have fun!

I only focused on rushing two houses because they were considered great houses, and some guys from where I live are apart of them. Well I am in one of them now, but hate it. I didn't keep an open mind, and probably should be in another house. Yeah I hang out with hot girls (some are petty AF I hope I don't marry one of these broads). In terms of brotherhood, if some of the guys in my house died in a plane crash, I wouldn't be that upset about it. That should tell you about the importance of chemistry and fitting in with the house you're joining not just rep and chicks. The house may have good brotherhood, but if you can't stand the dudes then the word brother is just a cheap label.

Just because your house hangs out with the hot houses, and you kind of get along with your pledge class doesn't mean you should stay. Join a frat where were you are celebrated, really get along with the guys, and aren't just tolerated. Just from a guy's view, we go to msu. We have plenty of hot girls. Phi and 5 a day aren't the only options to find hot chicks. Wearing some top tier letters won't make a 9 acknowledge you if you're only bagging 6's. The people that care about what house you are in aren't worth you're time The reality is these detailed rankings are cheaper than a prostitute in the Congo. and you won't know the guys in these houses unless you go to a bunch during rush and check them out. The hot girls I scoop aren't worth the brothers I have to deal with.

If you're a girl/guy thinking about going through rush/recruitment, it would really be in your best interest to ignore most of comments people put on this website.

When I was a freshman I rushed four houses PIKE, Sig Chi, Delt Sigs, and FIJI. Thankfully I didn't make the mistake of only going to houses that I knew a lot of guys because I would not be in the house I am if I did that. Trust me don't make the decision based on where you think you'll get the most girls. Pulling at MSU may depend slightly on your house but trust me, this does not mean that guys in "lower" houses don't get girls. This is purely dependent on YOU not your house. You should make your decision off of where you see yourself growing as a leader and brother.

A lot of you may have heard the whole "fraternity is where friends become brothers, and brothers become family". this sounds like a cheesy recruitment tagline. But Ive spent 3 years in my house and could not agree more with this statement. These are the guys that have been there for me in my worst and best times in college, these are the guys that will be at my wedding, and the guys I will always call brothers. Trust me fraternity isn't just about boozing, getting laid, and "chilling". You really will make bonds that last a lifetime, so choose your house wisely. Good luck to all the soon to be pledges and have fun with your upcoming pledge "internships". Trust me this is the worst and best internship you'll ever have. Make the most of it.

We need more of this. We need to build each other up and not tear each other apart. So many of the threads on here are reminiscent of high school. Thank you to whoever wrote the above posts. Welcome to college.
