delt sigs

first of all the guy who posted this is clearly in SAE or SNU, both of which are not top tier fraternities

delt sigs is a strong house at MSU, they are definitely not on the same level as sigma chi or pike but they are in the tier right behind those two, I was in IFC last year and have a pretty decent idea, they do relatively well with sororities, do well in sports, and do well philanthropically. Another factor to consider is rush, they are a house that is definitely selective, they had well over 120 guys come through for their rush and bid approx 25-30 i think, i def consider them a better house than SAE purely because of them not having a house and also because SAE bids way more kids and are not as selective. Plus SAE has the luxury of keeping the majority of the kids they bid because those kids know they won't have a pledge term.

I agree with the original poster. I'm in a so called "top tier fraternity" and when I think of houses I'm threatened by I don't think of Delt Sigs. Also I rarely hear any of the sorority girls I hang with talking about Delt Sigs but both SAE and SNU are brought up occasionally. And that's my biggest reason why Delt Sigs isn't top tier; I feel like a majority of top tier sorority girls leave their 1 on 1s with Delt Sigs early or don't bother to go. Also I definitely see more SNUs and SAEs at top tier sorority date parties and formals.

I agree with "agree." A big reason top tier fraternities are who they are is based on how many of their guys go on top tier sorority date parties/formals. I've met few delt sigs at date parties but have met many SAES/SNUS.
