Thinking of doing COB
by: COBI’m thinking of doing COB.. I know it’s risky but I don’t like any of the houses I got. Does anyone know what houses did COB last year? Just so I can get an idea.

Everything above is correct. C.O.B. will be based on the number of available spots in a given house. Chapters don't say, "Let's add 20 more sisters!"
I'm going to repost what I posted earlier:
Here's another C.O.B. angle/reason that gets overlooked; sisters graduating in December. The absences created by those members mean openings for potential new members. December commencements constitute some people graduating one semester early and some people graduating one semester late. This has no relation to girls dropping houses or chapters not retaining members. Most houses will have a handful of December graduates, although, it'll likely be maybe four sisters. Each house varies each year. HOWEVER, those bids will very likely be given to girls who have a friendship with a sister or two. C.O.B. isn't a bad option, it's just that the odds of getting what you want are not in your favor.
Say your desired house is at total/capacity on Bid Day. Then during "pledging", 2 girls drop/"depledge". In a few months, 6 of their girls will graduate in December. They now CAN take 8 girls to get back up to total/capacity. But, that doesn't mean they WILL. They probably will because every chapter wants to be full, but your chances of getting a bid are usually lower and houses will pick girls they already know will be a good fit.
This is just another scenario, so you don't pin your hopes on bids just being handed out down the road. We've seen every type of situation but I also don't want to discourage you. I hope you find your home!
