Whats happening to theta chi's house? is it just empty until they comeback to campus or are they allowed to stay there?

unfortunately everything about theta chi existing next year is a rumor started by their older guys, they will no be reinstated by IFC and everyone still incurs a huge risk when they party with them, won't exist at all in a couple semesters.

Is theta chi still able to rush and worth rushing? I see in previous discussions they were upper middle tier

You can theoretically "rush" them but they are no longer a fraternity at Michigan State. No letters on the property, no house, not IFC affiliated. Sororities can get in trouble for partying with them. If you talk to them they'll try and convince you it's worth it but I think it would be ridiculous to join a house that's not even a real fraternirty anymore. It's basically a friend group now.

Did we become that shallow that it won't be worth it because it's a friend group? The point of a fraternity is to become brothers so if you like these guys then yes it's worth it. I know a lot of great guys in there. They still function like a fraternity. Sorority won't get in trouble, if that's the case sororities would never be able to party with sports teams or just a random house party. The letters don't make a fraternity great. We'll see when fall comes around but don't strike them out.
