How competitive is sorority rush?
by: wingsxHow competitive is sorority rush at msu actually? Does basically everyone get a bid or do girls go bidless? I’m a current senior and debating on rushing, I’m from michigan, but don’t know anyone/have any connections to anyone in greek life. Wanna know if it’s worth rushing

Everyone usually gets a bid! It’s competitive but not too competitive :) I would highly recommend rushing it helps you branch out and meet so many girls from all over the country and gives you opportunities you wouldn’t normally be able to do. The process is very long and exhausting and can be upsetting at times but I promise everything will work out for you the way it’s supposed to and you will end up where you are meant to!

How competitive depends on the year. Fall 2021 there were 200-300 more girls than were spots in the sororities. Fall 2022 most sororities were scrambling to get high quality girls when a bunch of girls dropped rush. You should definitely rush as it is a great way to meet people and joining a sorority makes college so much better!
