meet new people

I'm in a smaller sorority on campus, not really one that intermingles with IFC like, at all actually lol. Kinda wanna go to their parties, meet new people, and just try something new. But I have no idea when anything is going on since it really isn't a community I'm a part of. Any tips on how to get in the loop or good times to meet people? thx! :-)
