Heard sig ep is suspended, not really sure whats the story here but heard a rumor

Are all of SigEp's events dry now, or just their house? Looking to rush this semester, and still want to focus on academics, but still want some fun socials. Tough to have a ton of successful dry socials etc imo lol

That the National Board of Directors will address and may take charter action on any chapter which refuses to implement a complete substance-free policy by August 1, 2020 and a substance-free transitional policy August 1, 2018.

I hope it's not true. Where's the party gonna be? I spent most of my freshman and sophomore year there. They have the best party place. It can't be true.

Without a doubt the bottom of the barrel guys, they get all the leftovers no one wants. They're really a joke, of a fraternity. NO hot guys, but i will give them that they're nice...

Sanctioned after a “barnyard party” involving cruelty to animals. One sheep died as a result of the party.

"The national fraternity staff and members of the Greek Life Office partner with the IFC to ensure student life-safety and to teach accountability. Any violation of sanctions, including unauthorized recruitment during a fact-collecting suspension of normal operations, will be met with more serve consequences. When a chapter cannot or will not self-govern, staff and administrators must take action, including membership review and charter action, to secure the future of a healthy, safe, and values-based Greek Life."

I was interested in joining Sig Ep but if they are worse than the other mid tiers idk if I should take a bid there. None of the brothers were direct with me when I asked about the house being dry.

It looks like Sig Ep nationally is not off to a very good start for this school year. They already closed....

Lost meaning they either surrender the charter or the entire chapter quits and merges with another fraternity or just go underground as a local, breaking all ties with the National.
