pi phi?

by:

Hey y'all,
So I'm transferring to MSU and am a Pi Phi at my school down here in the SEC (I'm not saying which one as I don't want everyone to know who I am if I transfer). Not saying that I don't love sorority life, because I absolutely do, but I'm a little cautious about transferring to another school's chapter and not knowing anything about the girls (I'm coming in to MSU as a Junior when all my credits even out). We're top tier here at my school and I don't want to go from a sorority that everyone loves to the one everyone hates (no offense, obviously). I'll always be a Pi Phi and be proud of my sorority, but I don't really want to transfer to it if they're a bunch of weird girls. Can y'all please give me an honest idea as to what my lovely sorority is like at MSU? And what all greek life is like at MSU? It would be really appreciated!
Thanks y'all!

try messaging girls or calling the president. dont waste your time on here. you know this site is just made for people to gossip and put others down. you should be ashamed. and if you truly love your sisterhood and love being a pi phi, your rep shouldnt matter

they're pretty weird/uggo. lot of pot-smoking hippies with acne. bad fraternity relations minus garbage houses like Sigma Pi.

might just wanna start over and rush elsewhere, even though it's technically against the rules (how would they know)

my condolences.

Pi phi is fine at MSU. One of the very best nationally as you pointed out too. They've got a lot of really nice girls and they have a good time. If you are in a sorority at State (minus 2), you will get a chance to hang out with most if not all of the fraternities. Definately talk to them, it's much much better to be a part of MSU greek life then to not be a part of anything especially when you don't know anyone at state. Not as big as southern schools but a great time nonetheless. A lot of fun events. And Pi Phis know how to have fun, no doubt about that. Coming from a fraternity brother, the person above is completely off and doesn't know anything. Join them, you won't regret it.

"sorry but" is just a crazy troll. Ignore. Pi Phi is a fine sorority, and Sigma Pi is a great fraternity. I'm in another sorority and have always liked any Pi Phis I've met. I hate how the trolls on the MSU discussion board bring down our entire greek system by constantly saying horrible things about various houses. Makes us look idiotic. At any rate, you just need to contact the house president and make arrangements for a visit.

They're known for being pretty easy. Any fraternity that's tier 2 and above only hangs out with them because they can get laid easily. They're a great time though

Piphi is a solid middle tier sorority. There are some cute girls in the house and a lot of average ones but personality wise they're not super weird or anything. They have a social life just as good as top tier sororities but they usually have socials with other middle tier fraternities. You'll find some weirdos and some great girls just like any sorority and like someone said above its better to be a part of msu greek life than not be, especially when you don't know anyone here.

You can check out their chapter website to get a better idea of how piphi is here and you'll find their contact info there as well

I'm in another sorority at MSU and I have a lot of friends in Pi Phi, there are a bunch of great girls in that house who I love! But if you come from a top tier sorority at a SEC school then it will be very different. As it is Greek life at MSU and SEC Greek life is MUCH different. I absolutely love being in a sorority here at state but Greek life is not as prevalent a part of campus as it is in the South in general. I think joining Pi Phi would be a great decision but not if you're only concerned with joining a top house.
