should i contact rush chairman before rush?

im not sure if i should contact the rush chairman before rush and let him know i am interested in rushing, is that a common thing to do? cuz id l ike to see if i could meet up and introduce myself before hand

Why not? Can't hurt unless you send him a weird, creepy message. Don't write a novel about yourself, just make it short and express your interest.

I am a rush chair for my house. Like the last post said, contact the rush chair and send him a short message expressing interest. He may or may not be able to meet up with you, but even if he doesn't, it puts you in his head for when you show up for rush. He will tell his brothers that you expresses prior interest in joining, and if they already like you this will help your chances of getting a bid.

The guy above me is a child. There is nothing wrong with shooting an email to a rush chair and it will help you out with a lot of selective houses.
