Actual rich kids from my high school either got into UofM or dipped out of state. Coming here was like a middle class, low-key slacker move. For you "in state" kids, take it from someone that is not from Michigan, you look really ignorant and very small town when you think that DePaul, Loyola, Columbia, and St Mary's are actually better than MSU. Really? For someone from Illinois, those are back-up schools! And really, no one goes to Columbia unless you can't get in elsewhere. The posts bashing MSU definitely sound like kids who might be at schools like, uhm, Western Michigan or other no name schools.
