who hangs out with who?
by: CuriousHello; I'm interested in rushing next year but I'm curious to know a few things. One of my big concerns is that I've heard that "top houses" only socialize with other "tops", "middles" with "middles" and "bottom tier" with "bottoms tier." How true is this? Do all frats and sororities mix? To what extent? I want to join Greek life to meet new people and I'm down to hang with anyone! I think it would be silly only hanging out with the same handful of frats, especially if you don't like them, based on a stupid social status. Help me out please :)

this shouldn't even be one of your concerns. What houses yours hang out with literally mean nothing. You should be joining a house that fits you, and in all honesty, most sororities and fraternities all hang out together, regardless of tier. And if you don't like who you're hanging out with, you can always go to a house you like's social instead

Chi O: pike, sig chi, SNU, fiji, SAE
Phi: pike, sig chi, SAE, Sig Ep
Kappa: same as chi O
AXO & Zeta: sig chi, SNU, SAE, Fiji, Sig Ep, smaller houses too (these houses have good relations with everyone)
Theta: fiji, SNU, pike, sig ep, delt sig
Sigma kappa: occasionally SNU & fiji and sig ep then smaller houses
The rest not relevant

this post could not be more accurate:

"Most fraternities and sororities all hang out together"
This is absolutely not true lol sororities only hangout with a few frats that they think are the same "tier" as themselves
