Seriously. It's so easy for people who ended up where they wanted because they're pretty or rich or have friends in the house to say "omg just like trust the system!!!!!!!" Meanwhile, HALF of the PMNs drop and are made to feel guilty or the bad guy for not wanting to give one of their bottom houses another chance for a 3rd or 4th time when they clearly don't like it. Sure, some girls drop for stupid reasons, like only wanting phi and only phi. But there are sooooo many great girls that get screwed over because they aren't freshman or struggled with their GPA or aren't skinny or pretty enough, and the only houses they have left are usually houses that they didn't have a strong connection with but got called back to because those houses needed numbers. We need more chapters at state, and we need to change the recruitment process because 1 to 4 people's perception of you for 15-20 minutes of overly peppy small talk should not determine the rest of your future in Greek life. There's clearly a problem if so many girls are dropping or ending up unhappy or homeless. Again, if you think the system is fine i guarantee it's because you got where you wanted and you have a superiority complex. The system is broken.

It is a very flawed system on both sides! Pnms that only want certain houses prior to stepping foot in a house and those houses for only wanting "hot girls" to appeal to frats. Would love to know how it worked out for people who dropped last year because they didn't like the houses they had at the end. Was it any different this year? Did the same houses that dropped you last year drop you again? Don't know if it worth going through this process all over again to only have the same result.

You realize out of a chapter with 150 girls I guarantee you'll find friends in any chapter. Maybe you shouldn't be so judge mental of the 8 of 150 girls you spoke to in a house?
All sororities have unique girls you will eventually click with if you give them a chance. You probably weren't best friends with every girl in your hs but I'm betting you still found friends.

Again, trust the system AKA stop looking at it as a disadvantage that you didn't get your top choices and be happy you got any.
