Last year I think there were 1200. The pledge class size is determined based on the number of girls left after either the 2nd or 3rd party. So 14 house x 70 is quota=980 girls could pledge. The problem is that AOPI and SDT don't get 70 girls. So, maybe 900 actually pledge.

Last year there were around 1200 girls that went through recruitment. Lots of girls drop out and if you maximize your options (no suiciding etc you have like a 98% chance of getting a house).
It's a little unfair to say msu needs more sororities, it's a selection process and you aren't "assigned" a house just for going through, it's a mutual selection process
