superficial greek system

by: Thinking

I honestly don't understand why house's ranks are based on looks. Sure, alpha phi has some hot girls, and they hook up with boys in "top" frats, but Greek life should be beyond the superficial stereotypes that keep getting proven true. Additionally, every time I hear about a "top house", it's not for good reason: chi o being horrible to zeta, KKG only letting in rich girls, ect. Recently I was on the msu class of 2018 page and some guy posted about a Christian fraternity on campus. That shouldn't be a big deal since class green life isn't for everyone, but some alpha phi wrote a really sarcastic and nasty comment that bunch of her sisters liked. I just don't understand why some of these top girls find the need to be so nasty and catty. It makes their chapter look bad and Greek life in general. I think "middle" houses with pretty girls that are kind and real are much better than this mean girl style drama. I know people agree with me, yet these types of people stay on top and have this attitude of superiority because of it. It really makes me sad that Greek life has such a nasty side to it.

Chi o and zeta are super good friends & have a ton planned together this year so that one doesn't really count and alpha phi hasn't been top in awhile. Their last pledge class was HORRIBLE

People still think phi is top and so does everyone in phi. So annoying.
