legacy

Legacies are helpful but don't guarantee you anything. And to the comment above, some chapters like XO, KKG, Pi Phi are huge nationally and have been around forever. There can be anywhere from 10-35 legacies in a group of 1200 pnms. You're not going to give a girl a bid because her grandma was in your house 60 years ago if shes nothing like your house. Now, an older sister, recently graduated...that helps much more

Well, some house cut legacies even when their sister is in the house! I am still bitter about this two years later. Funny, because the girls who were the rudest were 6-7s with maybe cute figures and kind of new money (even though they wouldn't admit it.) They truly relied on the sorority for their indenity. Not only was my sister good friends with one of these girls in high school, my mom even wrote a rec for one of them. Yep that is loyalty for ya!
The most interesting things is--people in house talked about what these girls said and who they were. They used fancy code words to describe my sister as being a little overweight and said she wasn't nice, etc. Give me a break They just wanted to be mean because the could. Very insecue.
One girl had the nerve to ask my dad for intership. So what I am saying...the world is pretty small. People talk. What goes around comes around.
