Its a great way to make a big school small. There is a place for everyone. The people in the greek system at MSU keep it classy and the different houses at MSU work together to keep the overall MSU Greek system thriving

Greek life at MSU is an excellent way to meet people and make connections. The frats and the sororities are welcoming and do a lot to enhance campus life.

Sad that the Greek system at MSU is a shadow of what it was 20-30 years ago. The best houses of the 80’s & 90’s are gone and the ones that remain can’t compare to the experiences we alum enjoyed. It’s unfortunate what’s happened but that’s the trend across the country.

Greek life at MSU is a ton of fun. Although my biggest complaint after going through the system is the pettiness between different tiers. Take one look at the discussion page and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. Overall as a community Greek houses don’t tend to get along with each other and would rather compete with one another.

Although it’s been slowly on its way out, Greek life at Michigan State is well worth its while and offers people many great opportunities to be social and to make great connections. It’s definitely more beneficial to rush as a guy as opposed to a girl, they can get into most parties without being in a sorority. However, for both genders there are definitely perks for being part of the greek system. It’s very selective for girls and relatively selective for guys. Most of the sororities are fine for girls to join and about 2/3rds of the fraternities are decent enough. Overall, if you’re relatively normal, you should be able to make it in some sort of fraternity/sorority here

The sorority selection process is extremely competitive, but when it comes down to it, it's a lot of chance. The fraternity process is less rigorous and less competitive, but there's way more hazing involved. Also the girls are way hotter than the guys in my opinion. They really glam up and guys roll into parties looking like homeless people half the time.

greek life at MSU is pretty big and a great option for meeting friends. although it can be VERY political. this website only proves the problematic/toxic nature of greek life at MSU. if u plan on rushing STAY OFF GREEKRANK... so much misinformation that can poison ur judgements during rush
