will sororities find out if i lie?

Hey guys. So I'm going to be a transfer student this September at SDSU and I am planning to go through sorority recruitment. I rushed before at another Cal State campus and was cut hard for my grades. Plus, I was extremely shy at the time and feel that I wasn't ready for greek life. However, now I feel like I've come out of my shell a lot and have become very outgoing. I transferred because my old school didn't have my desired major, so it's not because I was dropped from sorority recruitment at my old school. What should I put on my application when signing up for recruitment when the question " have you participated in recruitment before" comes up?
