stereotypes

why do some people assume that a top house= bad sisterhood? it really isn't true. just because girls are perceived as "hot" or "like to party" does not mean they are incapable of that amazing bond that sisters should have. and, no offense, but being perceived a "not attractive" house doesn't automatically make the girls more loyal to each other. looks have nothing to do with it. each sorority anywhere you go is it's own happy family, with rough times just like any family.

maybe a couple people had a bad experience, which is sad because for many others it's an amazing experience. but everyone finds happiness in different places.

stop the judgment- no one would write something negative on here about themselves right? so people are writing these horrible things about sororities they aren't in and will never truly know about because THEY ARENT IN IT.

if i were someone thinking about coming to sdsu in the fall and i read this, i would be disgusted by all the catty-ness that should have been left back in highschool. that sucks because the greek system really is better than this and it's many people's best decision they have ever made to join an organization. who wants to be a part of something where everyone anonymously hates on each other online? real life sdsu greek system isn't like this. it's competitive, but nowhere near this horrible. quit giving yourselves a bad name.

in that persons case it sounds like they just aren't having a good experience and maybe their sisterhood really isn't good from that person's perspective, or maybe they just havent made friends in it which is a 2 way street. this post wasn't regarding someone like that. it was to all the lame petty comments that people make about sororities they aren't in.

you can make friends and have a wonderful time and truly gain sisters in a top house that's all this was meant to say.

A lot of it has to do with jealousy but stereotypes do exist for a reason

I know many people during rush took houses because of its perception, not because of brother/sisterhood. I also know some who liked mid and bottom house people but chose top house because of the same thing. It is a generality to correlate top social house to a bad internal atmosphere, but there is some superficial practices, starting and not ending with rush. It is what it is. Some people really just want the parties and what comes with it, others want something else.
