Whats the TKE story here?

Different frat, same story. Happens to the best of them.

My older uncle went to UCSD in the 90s and was very familiar with green system at State. According to him TKE was the number 1 frat at State in the early 90s but they apparently had a big fight with Sigma Chi and the SDSU football team and their QB had his jaw broken. So the school kicked them off and a year later National kicked them off. Yes they gazed quite a bit but who didn’t back then? It was this huge fight and getting the SDSU QB to the hospital that destroyed TKE at State.

Apparently they had some crazy number of actives around 150-160 but they had a little sister program that numbered in the 250s so it was like they had their own sorority almost. Apparently one of their members was a well known fashion model for Armani and the captain of the now defunct men’s volleyball team was also a TKE. They partied with all the top sororities and the top houses back then were TKE SAE although they also got kicked off and Sig Ep. Lambda Chi and SX were also in top 5.

Having said that it was over 30 years ago so this new TKE has big big shoes to fill on their own and reputation from guys who are now in their late forties to mid fifties won’t help them much lol. Also the green system at State in the 90s was waaaay different than it is now. Things they got away with back then would get you in jail now lol.
