Did they get kicked off or disaffiliated from SDSU and IFC? They changed their insta to “Kappa Sigma San Diego” which makes it look like their nationals is not pulling their charter

I think the university revoked their recognition, but K-Sig nationals has disagreed with that punishment & is keeping the chapter open, which is uncommon but not unheard of. So they are an independent fraternity for now.

This could get very interesting if they stay independent & another fraternity follows suit. WVU & Colorado, for example are two universities where fraternities have split from the university completely to form independent IFCs after disagreements between university admin & fraternity national offices over disciplining chapters. Situations like that are a disaster for universities because they lose all control over the fraternities.

Basically SDSU‘s Greek life office is at a breaking point right now & needs to completely rethink how it disciplines it’s fraternities or it will risk losing all control over them
