which sorority is coming back next year?

by: PANHELL GODDESS

This fall it will have been 4 years since we got a new sorority (Theta). During that time, we have had 5 fraternities return to campus (Sigma Nu, Sigma Chi, ZBT, Delta Sig). There are already almost twice as many fraternities as sororities and the last sorority expansion went much more smoothly than the fraternity expansions have as of late.

Don’t think any sororities have even shown interest. The housing shortage is likely the main reason. And most schools typically have 2-3x the number of frats as sororitys because sororities can get really big without risk management issues while fraternities can’t (notice how our large sororities are upwards of 300 girls while our large fraternities are upwards of 100 guys). Also there are about triple the number of national frats as there are national sororitys.
Too bad SDSU never built the sorority row project though

Building a sorority row needs to be re-explored. There’s more girls interested in Greek life than ever now. DG, AGD & DZ would all be on board for sure & it would make growth possible

A new sorority colonization in the next year+ would probably need to be student-led with forming an interest group & reaching out to a national org

There is no new sorority coming to campus as of now for the 2020-2021 school year. Info: from Greek life rep

You can literally say anything and say you got it from a Greek life rep.

There a lot of interest from national sororities, but the best application was submitted by SigGenderInclusiveEp
