one sided frat row
by: RowwatchI'm curious as to why the entire aztec walk side of the row is full now with phi delt, but the only fraternity on hardy side is d sig? ik that the SVO is leasing lambda's old house, but why hasent sig chi or KA moved back into a stack, either phi kap's or sammy's?

Sig chi was never in the stacks. KA alums wanted out of frat row after the old chapter got shut down by nationals a number of years ago . Lambda Chi and Sigma Alpha Mu got kicked off by the university not their own nationals which is why they are taking longer to come back

I know about sig chi never being in the stacks, but I guess I just dont understand why more fraternities DONT get to be on frat row. Seems a shame to have those houses and courtyards going to waste.

Not true actually, the only 2 fraternities to have gotten kicked off by the university itself in the last decade are Phi Kap in 2017 & Sammy in 2009.
Every other chapter had their charter pulled by their national. KA in 09, K-Sig in 2010, Sig Nu in ‘12, Sig Chi in 13, D-Sig in ‘14 & Sig Nu again last year.
The university is real quick to hand out probations & temporary reduced privileges suspensions but usually doesn’t like to boot chapters itself unless they feel there’s no other reasonable option & the fraternity’s national has lost control of the chapter/isn’t pulling their weight to fix things

There are other chapters that got kicked off by the university more recently than LXA and Sammy that have already returned.
