welcome week frat parties?

So I'm an incoming transfer and I'm really considering rushing for a sorority this fall! But I kind of want to get the feel of going to frat parties/sdsu night life before I rush just to see if it's for me. will there be any parties on frat row going on during welcome week or the last weekend of welcome week? and generally how hard would it be for a girl to get in? would I need to know someone in the house first or get invited? any info would help! thanks :)
