by: AztecI heard SDSU is trying to tear down their house and the two next to it including ADChi (the chrisitian sorority) to put up more apartments. Anyone know if this is true and if they are fighting it? There's already such a lack of greek housing

SDSU foundation is planning to condemn these houses plus NAK and the black resource center (which opened less than a year ago) May 2020 to build more apartments. I know a dozen or so years ago the university tried to demolish AXO and what is now FIJI to build a different project but it was cancelled after resistance and South Campus Plaza was built instead.
The zoning is really outdated and all these houses, including Theta, AXO, and FIJI are technically outside the fraternity/sorority zoned area right now. If this project happens, Theta, AXO and FIJI could be next. I think the greek system really needs to rally behind stopping this from happening because there is already such a shortage of space for Greek housing
