is it worth it to rush?
by: HmmmI’m an incoming junior transfer student and I’m wondering whether to join a sorority? Is it worth it to rush, considering Greek life has been shut down? Honestly all I want is a group of girlfriends and to find my place at state. Would I be able to find a group of girls in my year or are they already in their set groups within the sorority? I’m not obsessed with partying with frats but I would have fun with it. Anyway, for the transfer students, was it worth it to you?

Yes it is worth it!! When you go through recruitment you’re put in groups and you be in a group with all juniors and you’ll be surprised how many girls there are. I rushed as a junior and got super close with the other juniors in my pledge class but it’s not hard to make friends with other girls in your pledge class or older members. If you’re in the house you belong in you can befriend anyone. Your sister won’t refuse to be anyone’s friend because they have a “formed group” you’ll get a big and meet older members that way too and basically go up to anyone it’s definitely not as intimidating as you would think
