what are the rules once you join a sorority?
by: PnmBeyond the obvious academic stuff, what are the rules and does it differ between houses and between pledges and those who’ve been initiated? (Ex. Is there a sober pledge? Do they monitor your insta? Are there outfit regulations when wearing letters/in general? Are certain houses stricter than others?) just wondering what I’m getting myself into

Curious about this too. Especially since I’m transferring and rushing as a junior, I don’t want to be too restricted since im not used to that in my college experience. If someone could let us know the rules you had to deal with, including required events that would be super helpful.

maintain ur chapter gpa, do ur chapter volunteer hours, go to events ur chapter has(accreditation events, philanthropy events, etc), don’t post anything that could get u in trouble on insta but some chapters are more lenient on what is allowed (each chapter has their own code of conduct), don’t wear ur letters to parties or other places where u find urself getting into trouble. Honestly following the rules ur chapter sets is not that hard and will not interfere w ur life
