grades

Hi! I am planning on rushing again in the fall as a sophomore. However my first year of college kind of kicked my butt, and I just wanted to know how heavily grades are considered and what is a required GPA??

Not sure if you’re looking to rush a sorority or fraternity but sororities are usually more strict. If you look on SDSU’s Greek life website there’s information about what GPA is required for each chapter. You most likely need to meet this GPA to get into the chapter

GPHI says 3.8
Is that true? I got a 3.6 :/

Honestly if you fit into the sorority or frat they wont deny you because of grades. Yeah good grades look nice but its your personality that really matters

For the most part, having good/decent grades will just help you during the recruitment process. Each sorority does have a GPA requirement so I would only worry if you fall below that line because that would cause them to wonder if you would be able to meet it if given a bid. Also each chapter has to meet a GPA requirement for the university so that's why it's somewhat important.
