bottom houses

by: Ahhh

At some schools people say it's better to be a geed than a bottom house. Is that true here? Are people really horrible to bottom houses? I'm genuinely interested in either one because they seem like great girls to me. But how are they treated? I'm going off of what I've heard from other ppl but would like the truth.

The Greek system here is very superficial, so being in a bottom house does place a lot of stereotypes on yourself. But that's the way it is with every chapter. I wouldn't say people are mean to you directly to your face though. Whether it's better or not is more of your own choice. If you're looking to join Greek life to make friends. get connections and elevate your college experience then being in a bottom house would be better. But if you're doing it so you can get into top tier frat parties, save your money and make friends with top tier sorority girls.

honestly i’ve met my bestfriends and have an amazing time with girls who make me feel confident and happy about myself and we still party with cool frats and cool guys where we feel comfortable. yeah it might not be top house parties but it’s still awesome lol

I was in a top house and was miserable. I knew during rush I didn't really fit in with this house but wanted to be in a top tier sorority. Once in I didn't click with the other girls and felt I couldn't really be myself. I dropped.
All my friends who are in houses deemed "lower" have made really close friends and have had an awesome experience. My advice - pick the house where you feel you truly fit. Don't let rankings influence you.
