things to remember for formal recruitment

by: Consider

1. BE YOURSELF- it may sound cliche, but seriously, be yourself, because you want the girls to like you did who you really are, not a perception of you.
2. BE OPEN MINDED- Do not go through recruitment thinking you have to be in one house.... I ended up hating the house I thought I’d love
3. DON’T LET OTHERS INFLUENCE YOUR DECISIONS.
4. Do not think about popularity or rankings, it only goes so far & mid/bottom tiers, while not viewed as super relevant, still have a lot to offer that top houses can’t.
4. Don’t drop because the house you liked dropped you (unless you really do hate the ones you have left). I ended up with my third choice sorority, and while i was definitely disappointed, I really love my sorority now.
5. If you get your 2nd (or 3rd pick).... TRY IT OUT! You still have weeks before you have to make a decision/get initiated.

Being open minded is the BEST advice!!! I went through rush, only wanted to be in a top house, didn't give any mid/lower houses a chance, got into a top house and was miserable ( nothing they did -I just didn't feel like I "fit") - dropped end of my 1st year.

Love it! I'm so excited to rush. Literally all of the houses look so great. I'm only worried I won't receive a bid from any
