is it worth it to rush as a transfer? + $$

Hey guys I'm coming to sdsu next year as a junior and I'll be commuting from 20 mins away. I already know I'm gonna join some clubs to make friends and network in general for my major but would it be worth it to rush? How do you guys afford your dues and is it worth the money? I'm going to state completely free for background info. Would it be worth it for me to rush, considering the cost, the commute, my standing as a junior (I'm 20) and would I be able to find my niche without Greek life? Lots of ppl on here seem to be kinda freaked out bc Greek life controls the campus but how true is that? I really wanna get some kind of college experience my final 2 years
