rushing as a legacy next fall
by: HopefulSDSU is one of my top picks for next fall. I am a legacy and have heard that rushing as a legacy may actually make it harder for me as houses are likely to drop me if they know I am a legacy to another house. Thing is I have heard great things about many of the sororities but I also think it would be cool to be part of the same sorority as my mom. What should I do if I do end up there?

Go into the process with an open mind, and if your mom’s house is the one you end up loving the best, then join there! You may vibe with a different sorority because chapters differ across the nation so I just wouldn’t be dead set on only joining your mom’s house. If you are a legacy tho, I don’t think there’s any way for houses that aren’t aphi to know that you’re a legacy somewhere else (since you turn your legacy form in directly to the chapter) so just don’t spend your convos with girls during recruitment talking about being a legacy because then they’ll assume you don’t wanna be at their house and drop you
