If so when do they tell you

If you make it to preference night, you're getting a bid. Either by one of the houses you prefed or by some freak accident - another house you visited earlier

Not always true I've known girls who went to pref and didn't get a bid.

The cuts for typically go from around 130 on pref to 80 on bid day so there are still many cuts
