where does everyone go out at?

Hi I'm new to San Diego, and transferring from another school in Texas. SDSU doesn't have my fraternity unfortunately but I was wondering what bars and places are cool to hangout att. San Diego is a lot bigger city with a lot more going on than my small college town. Everyone goes and hangs out at the Square, which is literally a square of bars in our small city center.

No North Texas, but San Marcos's Square is a little bit better than Dentons.
