Yes. Someone has to recommend you or be friends with you.

well i know of 5 sororities doing spring rush: dz, agd, theta, dg, and pi phi. Out of those 5, only the first 3 are letting you show up to check them out (idk how to phrase it, but basically dg and pi phi are invite only). So unless you have connections in dg or pi phi, your 3 options for COB are dz, agd, and theta. within those 3 its up to you which one you prefer.

Pi Phi is already done, but DG is actually advertising COB. So even though they aren't tabling, you can still email them if you're interested unlike Pi Phi.

Seems like the most hype for fraternity rush is around Sig Ep and Phi Psi

Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Meeting of the National Board of Directors
April 8 and 9, 2016

Substance-Free Housing

Foundation President Hammond provided a report from the North American Interfraternity Council’s (NIC) Alcohol Commission. The Board discussed the report and how substance-free policy would best be implemented and enforced. Warren confirmed that discussions will continue and a suggested plan of action for fraternity-wide substance-free facilities adoption and budget implications will be presented at the fall meeting.

This is a SigEp brother. We actually don't do pledging - you're automatically a brother. Still responsibilities and bonding events... but you'll never be a pledge.
