When you pledge together, you have to work together to accomplish goals and when you fail everyone loses. The Balanced Man Program separates the guys that otherwise should be pledging together and keeps them from learning valuable lessons about teamwork and about each other that they should have learned during their pledge ship. They are forced to work with each other on the exec board having very little experience and knowledge of each other.

I am very sorry to all who have to go through a Balanced Man Program. You are missing out on one of the greatest experiences of your life. Pledging is much better system. The time you spend with your pledge class through all the rough times pulls you together like nothing else. It is a bonding time that promotes brotherhood through good times and bad. I am sorry I have also seen the BMP at work and it is an easy way to gain you letters. I think it is a cop out and it was implemented by nationals to save face with the anti greek atmosphere.

Not sure where you get your information but to set the record straight SigEp's Balanced Man Program actually delays the full initiation of a new member well beyond when happens under an outdated pledge program. A pledge program consists of 6 to 10 weeks of learning nonsense facts and includes very little if any further development or education once initiated. The Balanced Man Program is a 4 year development program that sets a young man up for success for his life after college. Sig Ep is one of the nations leading fraternities and if a chapter is not living up to the principles of the fraternity. It will be done right or it will be closed.

Clearly someone is trying to troll SigEp here on Greekrank and it isn't working. SigEp continues to be the top house and only fraternity girls really like. SigEp is working really hard to improve their image and that of the entire Greek system which has suffered recently. Some people can't seem to let go of the fact that they didn't get a bid from SigEp and needed to go with one of the lesser frats. Clearly not everyone is SigEp material. Please take your hate somewhere else.
