The attached link is the recent article regarding the former Lamdba Chi Alpha Fraternity becoming the "Unoffical Fraternity" called Gazoni Family.
A former fraternity at the University of Central Florida is openly taunting the public school's administration and Greek life officials, advertising themselves as a organization not bound by any rules.
"The former Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity chapter was closed and had its charter revoked in January for university violations. However, over the past few months, the remaining members have continued to operate as the "Gazoni Family," advertising the organization as a frat with no rules."
"We ultimately decided to persevere and not tolerate getting bullied by umbrella organizations such as Greek Council, UCF and Lambda Chi Nationals any longer," said Yuval Mor, the acting president of the Gazoni Family. "We organized ourselves back together merely days after our dismissal from the institution. That is basically how it started."
"The UCF chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha had its charter revoked earlier this year for behavior that does not reflect the values of the national organization. UCF supported that decision and does not recognize Lambda Chi Alpha as a registered student organization, including a small group of students formerly in the chapter who call themselves the Gazoni Family," UCF spokesperson Zenaida Kotala said. "We do not approve or support the online material used to promote this unregistered group of students." The UCF Greek Council referred questions to the school's press office.

As an alumni of the university, I've seen first hand that they actually do have many traditions and values that registered fraternities carry, as they used to be one of the oldest chapters at UCF. The brotherhood was strong enough to overcome being kicked off, and come back in the best way they could. When they say "no rules" I believe they mean those given by the university on Greek life, not just an all around free for all. More power to these guys for trying to keep a tight brotherhood running strong, without the support of a national organization.

As an alumni, you know the good fraternity Lambda Chi WAS (not in recent history or they wouldn't have been kicked out) and not what they've become. If you read the above article, their entire advertisement about themselves is no 6 week dry period, no need to register parties, etc.
And no, they don't have Lambda Chi's values or they wouldn't have turned their backs on them too.

Lambda chi has always had people hate them and love them. They have never cared and never will. You really cannot deny that they still have one of the strongest brotherhoods on campus. They aren't a fraternity anymore but with having a spring rush class joining them and another fall class already in the works, whatever they are doing isn't going to be going away for awhile.
