And on that note, please don't think that its "fair" to force housed sororities to rush out of class rooms, the union, or resturants just because you lack a house. Sororities should be able to show whatever they have during rush, just because you do not have something doesnt mean you can take it away from sororities that do. Its part of the greek system, and its part of life. You chose to be in a sorority without a house; its not right for you to wish upon sororities with houses to seem as though they are equal. We are all wonderful girls, but do not do the same things or have the same things. You cannot tell me that if you had a house you would NOT want to rush out of it? You know damn well you would be very disturbed if someone was asking your chapter to rush out of a classroom instead of their home.

Please do not have a one track mind, the mind of an unhoused sorority. Please think of all sororities and how you would feel if you were asked not to rush out of your sororities house. It's not right and its not a good start to the year. You are not supposed to take advantage of your position, yet better help greeks as a whole... not just try to trick new girls into thinking each sorority is equal. Below is right ------> You ALL CHOSE that chapter so work with what you have, dont worry about what other sororities have over you.

How would YOU feel if you were told you can't do recruitment on Greek Park PERIOD? Seems to me that you don't think that girls will want you if you didn't have your house as your crutch. Try impressing girls with your personality, not your assets...

for the girls below, your own chapters interviewed and approved each pan position and clearly they trusted the new vp recruitment to use her best judgement and look out for every ucf chapter. please don't jump to conclusions that she is out on some sort of revenge trip and out to screw you guys over or is stupid enough to use a "one track (unhoused) mind". if you knew her, you would know how wrong you are.
furthermore, she is not the only person making the recruitment decisions, it is a group effort from all exec to ensure that "fairness". all of pan exec sits on recruitment exec and if they witness foul play, they have every opportunity to express them to OFSL.

ladies...it doesn't do us any good to have asterisks all over our own message board postings. i know my sisters (including nikki) are amazing, beautiful girls! please don't resort to that! pan and theta love <3

what's going on? is theta trying to suggest that housed sororities shouldn't rush from their house because it's an unfair advantage? that's what i'm gathering from the posts...

thats EXACTLY what they along with the other unhoused sororities are trying to do. I agree with the posts below, you decided to be a theta knowing very well that you did not have a house. for the rest of us, our houses are a part of our sorority and give all of our sisters a place to hang out and be comfortable in. just because theta and the other unhoused sororites do not have houses doesnt mean they need to drag everyone who does down with them. think how you would feel having to rush in a classroom if you had a beautiful house that you wanted all the girls to see.

Just to set things straight....it is not Nikki who has made the suggestion to have Formal Recruitment in an equal location. It was the collaboration of the National Panhellenic Advisors, the Director and Assistant Director of OFSL who have made this suggestion. It was also discussed and decided that unless there is a better venue, other the arena, that this would not be something that would be feasible for our greek system.

Im from another unhoused chapter and I actually could care less about everyone rushing out of their houses. If all you can do is hide behind your house then so be it. We don't need an equal playing field because we continue to charm girls with our great personalities regardless. We don't need any sort of breaks or sympathy from you.
