future freshman with questions
by: LiaI'm am from the north and will be attending UCF in the fall and I know absolutley no one down here so I think it would be great if I joined a sorority and made friends ect. I have this stereotype in my mind that all sorority girls are plastic Barbie dolls... Do I have to look like a Abercrombie model to get into a decent tier sorority? If I'm average looking (maybe a little bit more, just being honest) will I get any bids? and you usually rush your freshman year right??? Sorry with all the questions I really don't know anything about it. I appreciate it

The top tiers will judge you on looks (Zeta, KD, TriDelt), the middle till try to but won't get their top choices, and bottom takes who they can get.
if you're average you'll probably end up in an average sorority, and yes rushing freshman year is your best bet. the older you are the less sororities that will take you

There are definitely average girls along with extremely good looking girls in my top tier sorority. They pay attention to looks but it's definitely based more off of how you relate to the sisters, how well you fit in, and generally how awesome you are. Look your best, but make sure you can carry a conversation comfortably and most importantly, leave an impression that sets you apart.

I'm In a top tier sorority and there are some girls that I rushed with that got in the same sorority as me and to be honest, they are beautiful but are either snobs or have no personalities at all. The top sororities let girls in based mostly on looks because they want to keep their "hottest" status. Once you rush, you will find they pretty much always choose a beautiful girl with an average personality over a not so good looking girl with a spectacular personality.

top tiers are mainly based off of looks but obivously not everyone girl is goood looking in top tiers, its like 98% of the them either look the same are a good looking. tri delt is probably the one out of the top tiers that has a lot more "cute, okay, avg" looking girls than KD or ZTA but still most of their house is good looking. not saying you wont have fun in a top tier because you may have fun. just pick a sorority for the right reasons because youre gonna be with these girls all the time.

Middle tiers don't get their top choices?? Lmao please don't kid yourself, most of the time we cut girls with no personality by the second day, we don't even want them in our chapter in the first place.....
