Okay it have this fancy short black dress idk if it's too over the top for prefs. It has sequins and stones and it would probably stand out. It's not prom-y more like a dress you'd see in a movie

I'm having a hard time picturing what you mean by "what you'd see in a movie", but as long as it's not so extravagant you would wear it to homecoming or prom then I suppose it's fine.
